JEFFREY KOJI MALONEY
Proven Experience and Innovative Leadership
My name is Jeffrey Koji Maloney and I am husband, father, environmental attorney, and longtime community volunteer. As a lifelong resident of the San Gabriel Valley, I am proud to call Alhambra home for nearly 20 years.
I attended college at UC San Diego, earning degrees in history and political science. Later, I graduated from law school at USC, serving as an editor of the law review and officer in the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
Whether it was serving as a constituent advocate for a member of the state legislature, as an environmental attorney for a state conservancy protecting the environment, or as a Co-Chair of the 2015 Special Olympics Alhambra Host Town Committee, public service has always been the driving force in my personal and professional life.
That is why being elected as a Councilmember by my fellow Alhambrans remains one of the great honors of my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my hometown pursuing the goal that I know all of us share: making Alhambra a great place to live for all our residents.
Along with my wife, Akiko (Alhambra HS, Class of ’96), I am pleased that we have a great community like Alhambra in which to raise our two young children. We love the diversity and the welcoming nature of our residents. We cherish the small town character among the bustle of the big city all around us. We look forward to a long and happy life here in Alhambra and I hope you’ll join us on our journey of making our town the best it can be.
With gratitude,
Councilmember Jeffrey Koji Maloney
