Councilmember Maloney pushes for Alhambra's first-ever sustainability action plan

At Alhambra's recent strategic planning session, Councilmember Jeff Maloney proposed Alhambra's first-ever sustainablity action plan.  Councilmember Maloney emphasized the importance of pulling all aspects of creating a sustainable community under one umbrella policy.

Maloney pushed for a "ground up" approach to this plan that would utilize third party grant funding to hire an outside consultant.  The consultant would lead stakeholder outreach and compile an innovative, Alhambra-specific approach to tackle this groundbreaking endeavor.

"I am an environmentalist at heart - it's what I do for a living and I am pleased that my Council colleagues share the same concern for the sustainability of our community," Maloney said.  "I can't wait to get started on this."
